Reece Gardner has over 25 years of industry related experience; having first used survey-grade GPS systems in 1989. Reece worked for Trimble Navigation in technical support, development and sales & marketing roles. He has also worked for GeoSystems (now AllTerra), the New Zealand Trimble dealer, where he was a Trimble certified trainer in RTK & post-processed surveying techniques. He also conducted training in hydrographic surveying using Trimble's HYDROpro software. In 2004 Reece started 3D World New Zealand Ltd where he consults to the survey and spatial positioning industries. He was an early adopter of 3D laser scanning technologies; he purchased a Trimble 3D GX laser scanner in 2006, the first in New Zealand. In recent times Reece has designed & installed customised machine control systems. Reece is a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, a Registered Professional Surveyor and a member of the New Zealand Institue of Surveyors, Institute of Cadastal Surveyors and the Australian Hydrographic Society. He graduated from Otago University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Surveying (Distinction).
